The Payroll Tax Analyst position serves as Subject Matter Expert (SME) and escalation point for all payroll tax-related activities.
Key Responsibilities:
·Year-end project activities including testing, W2 balancing, file validation, and release
·Processing of W-2 Corrections and Reissues
·Serve as Subject Matter Expert for all tax-related project activity
·Perform User Acceptance Testing for tax updates and system enhancements
·Participate in tax related testing and validation
·Research and respond to complex payroll tax questions
·Manage escalations from internal and external clients
·Manage special projects required or needed to support ongoing delivery
·Provide reports as required
·Proactively look for resolution of potential issues
·Help identify and implement ideas for improving processes and methodologies
·Work with internal teams to ensure continuity of service delivery
·Lead adherence to standard practices
·Participate in cross-departmental initiatives to ensure proper consideration and action of regulatory and tax-impacting changes
·Cross train team members and act as Subject Matter Expert
·Provide work direction to support resources and validate results
·Monitor daily workflow and ensure completion of activities
·Daily, monthly, quarterly, and annual reconciliations activities as needed
·Employee tax panel setups and audits
·Periodic auditing of client specific tax programs and tables
·Preparation of periodic and amendment reporting
·Other duties, as assigned by your immediate supervisor and/or manager
